The accent is important
We must stress the syllables with an accent. If we ignore or skip the accent, the meaning of the word may change. There is only one type of accent in Modern Greek: '
Only the vowels take an accent: ά, έ, ή, ί, ό, ύ, ώ.
There are two lowercase letters for Σ
We use the 'final' ς at the end of the words and the normal lowercase σ at the beginning or in the middle of words.
